Moulin Rouge, Paris: A Photo Gallery

Photos of the Moulin Rouge in Paris lit up after dark, plus an honest take on the show and why its use of animals means I wouldn't go again.

Moulin Rouge - A Photo Gallery

The Moulin Rouge in an iconic Paris show. We booked for the show only and not the dinner. It was still daylight when we arrived but it’s not until after dark that the building lights up with the neon lights.  You cannot take photos of the show.

The Moulin Rouge show itself was a good show with the exception of it using animals. I am very anti the use of animals for shows. They brought out miniature horses for one part and they have a pool with pythons which a women is “thrown” into. The pythons were not moving and the woman was grabbing them and trying to wrap them around her. I can’t see how the use of domestic or wild animals is needed when the show, to me, would be better without them. I actually think the woman having to grab the snakes and wrap them around her actually detracted from the show.  Also there is very little room at the show. You are seated at tables and you are really crammed in.

While it was an interesting show, I would not go again. But I would definitely recommend seeing the building at night.
